Sixteen Spanish Immersion seniors put their language skills into action by volunteering with the Chesterfield-Colonial Heights Christmas Mother program. They helped register more than 200 Spanish-speaking families, supporting families in need as they signed up to receive holiday gifts for their loved ones. For our students, this is a particularly rewarding service experience because they are able to use Spanish in a meaningful, real-world setting while connecting directly with families in their community and helping make the holiday season a little brighter.
